PROGRAM MANAGER – CENTER FOR NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE
FULL-TIME, EXEMPT

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) of the Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) works with nonprofits to help them be stronger, more resilient and impactful. The CNE is committed to providing leadership and organizational development support to nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes in Monterey County and surrounding regions. The Program Manager is a key part of the CFMC team, designing and managing inclusive programs that increase the skills, confidence and resilience of nonprofit leaders and their organizations. The Program Manager reports to the Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

THE POSITION

• Program design and management. Design and manage the day-to-day delivery of CNE’s leadership and organizational development offerings through a variety of programmatic approaches, including but not limited to its Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Institute.

• Grantmaking (General). Manage proposal review within appropriate areas, including communicating with grant applicants, analysis of requests, due diligence and entering and maintaining information on CFMC’s grants database. Monitor progress of grants, evaluate organizations’ success and assess impact of grants.

• Volunteer Management. Supervise and monitor the work of interns, volunteers and independent contractors, as needed.

• Program Administration and Staff Support. Perform any and all other program-related administrative duties as required from time to time or as assigned by the Director of the CNE or the Vice President of Community Impact.

• Accountability. Work as a member of the CFMC team to ensure that projects and initiatives are responsive to community needs and that operations are efficient and effective.
