LEAD Institute

LEAD (Leadership Education and Development) Institute is a year-long leadership development program for nonprofit managers aspiring to greater leadership. LEAD serves the diverse communities of Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties. Since it began in 2009, more than 200 LEADers have completed the program.

Applications for the 2026 LEAD Institute are now open and due by Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

An information session will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10–11 a.m. at the CFMC Monterey Conference Room, 2354 Garden Road, Monterey.

Details

LEAD is an intensive learning experience and support from your nonprofit or community-based organization and supervisors is essential.

We recommend you discuss your goals and the commitment required to attend LEAD with your direct supervisor and/or affiliated community organizations. Nonprofits based in Santa Cruz, Monterey or San Benito Counties are eligible.
