More than 550 gathered for the 17th Annual Women’s Fund Luncheon to celebrate the power and progress of women. The luncheon took place Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey benefiting local women and girls through the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County. Our thanks to emcee Erin Clark, News Anchor KSBW 8, guest speakers Morgane McNally, Resident Director, Merrill Wealth Management, The BMRB Group; Lizeth Patena, scholarship recipient; and Esmeralda Owen, Women’s Fund Leadership Council member, who all inspired attendees about the importance of investing in women and girls. Lizeth Patena shared her journey, celebrating that she would be graduating the following day as the first in her family to attend college and realize her dream of becoming a teacher in our community this fall.
