The Community Foundation for Monterey County’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) offers this training to deepen your understanding of the basics of writing strong funding proposals. Learn how to help your nonprofit organization stand out and better demonstrate its potential.
The training will focus on keys for strong proposals:
Training format: This interactive session will be held in-person. Snacks provided.
Intended audience: The training is for beginners with some experience preparing grant proposals. Nonprofit organizations with a current revenue strategy that includes grants should find the training valuable.

About the Trainer:Â
Grace Hammond has over 25 years’ experience as a consultant and trainer to nonprofit organizations and public agencies, specializing in Strategic Planning, Fund Development Planning, Organizational Development and Assessments, and nonprofit Boards of Directors. Her training experience ranges from designing and presenting workshops for Community Foundations, serving as a faculty member of San Jose State University’s Nonprofit Management Program to a being a Guest Lecturer at Tokyo University. She has taught beginning and advanced grant writing courses to nonprofits of all sizes and authored an outcomes guidebook. She has also served as coach for LEAD Institute.
