Major upgrades are coming to California’s regulatory landscape. For years, maintaining your organization’s good standing with the California Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Registry of Charities and Fundraisers meant dealing with paper forms, paper checks and delays from snail mail. Last year, the DOJ launched an early release Online Filing Service for the registration of new charities. Now, the DOJ has launched the Online Filing Service for all remaining services and has fundamentally modernized its Registry with full electronic submissions, online payments and instant error detection. For California nonprofits, this means faster processing, fewer administrative headaches, and an easier path to maintaining good standing.
